There are 2 ways that God drowns his enemies…
One was when Moses parted the sea and took the Israelites over to the other side. Their enemies tried to follow and then the water was released and they physically drowned…(This drowning is permanent and cannot be undone)
In the bible God was angry because people were complaining about the way that God was leading them through the wilderness. They complained about the food and said that they ate better in Egypt. When they got to the red sea and saw no way out they FEARED that God brought them out to die there. It was the constant lack of trusting God that he was taking them into a better place and that he would be their provision.
The other enemies of God will drown in the emotionsof guilt shame, fear and regret…The way out is repentance. Most of the time we are drowning in our emotions because we have not followed God in obedience .Somewhere along the line we have done something to bring about those feelings that stem from being corrected by God . See Gen 3:7-11. You can see FEAR in the form of being AFRAID and you can see SHAME in the form of them trying to hide .
I will have lessons to help you deal with your emotions coming soon….
