Lured into darkness..

As a child, I celebrated Christmas, my favorite time and season. I loved Santa, he brought good gifts, things that I had asked for. Exodus 20:3-6, Matthew 7:11, Isaiah 5:20. Romans 1:18-23, Hebrews 3:12, proverbs 4:23, Matthew 4:10.

Jesus on the other hand was in charge of my soul,  saving me. As a child, I didn’t know there was more to salvation  than just accepting Jesus into my heart. I was just  following my leaders and my parents were following theirs. Hebrews 13:17,  James 1:22-25,

As a child, I thought that I had done everything needed to be saved.  1 John 4:14, Galatians 5:1, Isaiah 12:2.Matthew 16:24-26,

I prayed to Jesus every night that he would sleep with me and keep me safe. Psalm 4:8 . He did for a while but then my prayers seemed to fall on deaf ears by the age of 12.  Proverbs 1:28-30.

Did you know that scripture teaches that if we make  Idols and put our trust in them that we become just like them? Psalm 115:8  ..What do you think was happening in my heart  as a child? I was taught to BELIEVE in Santa. I was taught to not lie but lying was okay if it was a fantasy. SEEDS of corruption that would pass to my children.

As a child, I heard that Jesus was my Savior!  I began comparing who gave me what and who answered my prayers. I was learning from those I trusted most; my parents, pastor and my church. It was from them that I learned about Jesus. Galatians 1:4-10,Galatians 3:13, Romans 6:1-10,Jeremiah 3:15

Without even realizing it a seed of corruption was being planted in my heart. I was following the ways of the world, drawing me further and further away from the truth. I was just a 4 year old little girl. Proverbs 4:23, Galatians 6:7-9, Matthew 15:14, Matthew 23:3, John 10:10.

What’s the big deal one might say ?  The word says that we become just like the ones we follow. Psalms 115:4-8. If we are following Idols and we become just like them then we become deaf, mute, blind,    and have to be carried because we cannot walk because we have no life in us.

2 Corinthians 11:14, Roman 8:10

*Without  truth I  had no power over my enemy.Mark 3:27,John 10:10,

Matthew 6:21, 1 peter 5:8, Galatians 6:8, Jeremiah 3:15 ,Romans 12:2, 1 John 2:15, Colossians 3:2, Ephesians 2:2, 2 Corinthans 4:4,James 4:4, 1 John 2:16, John 14:21,Matthew 22:37,1 corinthians 15:33, Ephesians 4:17,1 Corinthians 1:20,John 16:33,John 15:4-11, John 14:6 , Ephesians 4:22-24,Isaiah 26:3, John 14:27,2 Corinthians 10:2, 1 peter 1:18, Romans 13:14, Romans 8:4- Requirement that they not walk according to the flesh.

*As a teenager it confused me because what God was telling us not to do in the bible  the Pastorwas teaching us that it was ok. He was teaching us about the 10 commandments while breaking the 1st ,6th, 7th, and 8th commandments himself. Matthew 23:3

We celebrated cute little fantasies that lead to death according to the bible. Proverbs 14:12.

Compromising the word of God is dangerous for a child because they dont know where the boundaries are.

Satan loves a child who has no boundaries or doesn’t know where to place them because he can lead them into the pits of hell just like he led me. Matthew 7:14

I fell deeper and deeper into sin because I believed a lie that because of grace the word of God changed when Jesus died on the cross. Galatians 1:8 . My feelings did not align with what the word of God was saying so it confused me even more. Remember that seed of corruption that had been planted when I was little?? It was growing and my feelings were aligned with what I believed that the word of God had changed when Jesus died on the cross.

When boundaries get blurred living a lifestyle of sin becomes easier because it was our foundation from the beginning. If God is not the author of confusion then who have we let into our home because of compromise?  1 Corinthians 14:33.

We can’t convict anyone of compromising the word of God when we are guilty before the LORD for teaching it. We can’t celebrate lies and spin them to honor Jesus. It doesn’t work that way in the bible. Aaron did the same thing when he created an idol. Exodus 32:1-10. Watch closely…It wasn’t Aaron who told them that this calf brought them out of Egypt.

They BELIEVED the lie themselves. Aaron’s part; he used their earrings to make them a god to follow. God silenced their hearing when he did this. He built an altar and said tomorrow we have a feast unto the LORD. What was Jehovah’s response to what AARON did??? Exodus 32:7-10 God told Moses that they had corrupted themselves and that he was going to consume them. Did he??? YES.

Now take a close look at Christmas and compare what happened to Aaron. Did Aaron die that day? NO. Did it affect his children who were not even born yet? Yes. Exodus 20:5-6  Now go back to Deuteronomy 30:19-20 Did the LORD give them an option to protect their children? Yes God said chose life so that they may live. What did Aaron choose for his children? Death

We cannot celebrate the lies of Christmas, Halloween and Easter eggs with the bunny. It’s all lies.  Aaron placed an idol before the people so that THEY would be led by it. We have placed Santa, an idol before the people. Aaron made a feast and dedicated it to the LORD. At Christmas what do we do? We honor Jesus in a lie that Dec 25th is his birthday. We make that day his, just like Aaron did. Who died because of Aaron’s disobedience? Aaron’s children and the people that followed him. I wonder how many blessings and healings  we have missed because we are living in disobedience to the word.
